Doug Foreman is chief investment officer at Kayne Anderson Rudnick Investment Management (KAR), where he is responsible for leadership of the equity team and day-to-day oversight of KAR’s investment operations, including portfolio management and research. In addition, he is a member of the firm’s executive management committee.
Mr. Foreman joined Kayne Anderson Rudnick in 2011 as director of equities. He has since assumed co-management of several KAR strategies, overseen the launch of KAR’s first non-U.S. small-cap portfolio, and enhanced the firm’s equity research capabilities. In 2013, he served as co-chief investment officer and became chief investment officer in 2014.
Previously, Mr. Foreman was director of equities at HighMark Capital Management, and before that, he was group managing director and chief investment officer of U.S. equities at Trust Company of the West (TCW) in Los Angeles. Mr. Foreman began his investment career at Putnam Investments as an equity research analyst and portfolio manager.
Mr. Foreman earned a B.S. in marine engineering from The U.S. Naval Academy and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He began working in the investment industry in 1986.Over his investment career history, Mr. Foreman has been a regular contributor to leading business and investment news media, including CNBC and The Wall Street Journal.
